When I was studying psychology back in the day – the only path for the psychologist would be either a psychologist in school, continue to study more to become a psychoanalyst or specialize in any kind of the specific domains of psychology or join the HR and people development in the business.
I have chosen the business path, I went into the sales department. I’ve worked in sales for many years, sold training programs, mechanical parts, and even software as a service (SaaS).
Scrum Master as a profession appeared about that time when I had graduated from my University, but I only came across it some 20 years later… I drifted to IT from manufacturing and engineering and through project management became a scrum master.
This January marked 2 years of me being a Scrum Master. I’ve passed 2 formal certifications on scrum.org (PSM1 & PSM2), worked and continue working with the 3 international teams, all of them remote and a mix of different nationalities…

Now I just simply love my profession, I use my psychological, coaching and MBA education and all at once. I work with individuals to help them to form a team, I work with teams to help them become more effective, I work with the stakeholders to help them to understand the value of transparency and trust, as well as the constant involvement.
Coaching is helping me to find common ground and be a better and hopefully a true leader to the teams I work with and I hope it’ll just get better and better.
